There is a small, beautiful lake in our apartment complex and I walk around it everyday, occasionally stopping near it to enjoy the privilege of having a lush green area in the middle of a mega-city. There are three black swans that live in the lake and often I see them paddling around the lake.
Usually I Just see the majestic black birds floating around carefree in the lake but today was different. Two of them seem to be in disagreement and were flapping their wings wildly at each other. The third, I presume a proper lady, swam away disdainfully (?) from the two boys roughhousing.

It was during this aggressive flapping that I noticed a white patch under the wings of one of the birds. What do you know !! The beautiful black bird had a patch of white secretly tucked under
his wings.
