What I learned in a traffic jam

I was late for work and the traffic in Central Bangkok can be a killer. The next crossing was critical and I knew from experience that I could get stuck there for a good many minutes. I was already very anxious and the last thing I needed was a traffic jam. But just as surely you have to wait for good things in life, the traffic jams come fast and furious. My whole body became tense as soon as the taxi came to a grinding halt.

I knew that the situation was dire when the taxi driver switched-off the engine. The trainer in me said to myself “When life gives you lemons ………….” and just as I started thinking of what lemonade I need to prepare out of this situation, the taxi driver had already prepared and served up the best one yet.

I have travelled a lot in Taxis but I have never come across any driver that pulled out a flute and started playing a tune. That was one of the most soothing sounds I have heard.

Life Lesson#12 – Sometimes the Universe makes the lemonade, Enjoy.
